Procrastination!
Jul. 25th, 2006 08:54 pmOk, my elaborate later is coming much later than expected.
juliekaye was my craft buddy in a craft exchange dreamed up by
geekjul. It was a very fun experience. The cookie cross stitch is on a linen bread cloth. It is very lovely. I may have to try cross stitch. I love the end result. The question is, do I have the patience?
If there should happen to be another exchange in the future, I don't believe I will do a pencil drawing again.(that is what I say now) Pencil drawings are my easy way out in keeping up with my art, although I do love that medium. I have a few other ideas now. What I would really love to get into is oil painting. I have only done it once with my Grandmother. Gurma and I went to a two day class and I ended up with one goodsized picture that my puppy later ate and a small 5x7 that I gave to my Grandma Kruger for her 80th birthday. She never received any of my art and Gurma had my best water color.
My mother sent Gurma a watercolor with pen and ink that I had done of a Suffolk pink cottage in England.

I did this in 1989 when I was 13. This past May, 17 years later, Gurma let me take the picture back. Since I was married now with my own home to display it in, she decided I could have it back.
kathrynrose posted a picture of the drawing I did for her here.
