Well, I have had a busy morning so far. Nana arrived at 8:30 to stay with Nick until 3. I popped into the shower and straightened up my room a bit before heading out to run some errands. First, I took the dogs to the vet to have their rabies shot updated. I forgot they expired at the end of July. If I wanted them groomed in a week or two, that had to be done. Once that was accomplished, I dropped them back at the house and picked up some items to go to an alterations shop.
I bought a new bathing suit a few weeks ago. It is a two piece. The top is a halter top and the bottom one of those cute little swim skirts. With the pregnancy, I would be a little more comfortable if there was another 4-6 inches of fabric up front on the top. So, I bought a second top and took it to this lovely oriental lady who will cut up the new one and add six inches to the good top. The top flares, so the added layer will need to be slitted on the sides, I think that would look great. I am concerned more with the front than the sides or back. I also dropped off a pair of Ned's jeans that the riveted button came off. I will have those items back before the end of next week.
Next I ran a pair of Oakley flip flops I bought for Ned back to Rack Room Shoes. I exchanged them with two pair of sandals for Nicky. I still got some money put pack on my card. We had gone to the same store in a different location and found that Ned liked the Margaritaville flip flops much better. I ended up buying a pair of men's margaritaville flip flops in a different style for myself. I am breaking them in today.
We are going to the beach next Saturday. We will be there for 6 days. I am excited as I haven't gone to the beach since I moved here in '03. I was planning to take Ned to NYC this fall. I have realized however that I will be 7 months pregnant at that time and am not sure if I am going to want to wander around NYC for a few days at that time. I am now sitting at Caribou Coffee and enjoying a Berry White Mocha. There is a new personable young man at the counter. I have a shirt on that says New York on it, so we got into a conversation about NYC and Chicago. He has been to both cities in the past couple of months. I told him my list right now is NYC, Chicago, San Diego, San Francisco, London, and Paris.
I swiped the netbook from Ned today to get some things done concerning a game he and I are playing. We are journaling what our characters are going through on our website and I really need to catch up on some of the journal entries. We would love to have a bigger group to game with, but have no idea how to go about finding others. I shall start working on some of the journal entries.
Happy Friday all!!!
