Thursday's fun

kajelGood morning everyone. Sorry I have been a bit out of touch. I have just been taking care of the little man and trying to get my house in order. Ned called me right at 5 last night when he was leaving the University. He calls sometimes as he is leaving to ask if I need him to pick anything up on the way home. So of course, I assumed that was what this call was about.
No such luck. He had been in a car accident. He is fine! Let me just get that in there quickly. ;) He was turning left out of the main entrance to the University and a gentleman ran the red light. Ned saw him coming and slammed on his brakes. He had actually come to a complete stop, but the other guy was just a second behind in his reactions. He hit the Element in the corner of the left quarter panel. About square on with the headlight.
The guy was nice about it. He told the police officer it was all his fault, that he had run the red light. I guess the guy looked up and saw the light was red about a second or two before he hit Ned.
Ned called me and I called State Farm. lol I had a claim number and a tow truck on its way to him before the police even arrived! I then packed Nicky up and headed out to pick him up. My timing was pretty damn good. I got to Ned just as the tow truck left with the Element. The nice thing is that Nicky slept the whole time in the car.
Ned has had a good nights sleep and no ill affects from the impact have shown up today. He just had to deal with the adrenalin rush and standing out in the hot sun for awhile. I am thankful for small miracles.
